Total purchase price (before tax): What your auto purchase will cost you, without the sales tax.
Monthly payment: The payment you make each month for your auto financing.
Term in months: The length of your auto loan, expressed in months.
Interest rate: The interest rate for this auto loan.
Cash down: The full amount of cash you use for your auto purchase.
Non-taxable fees (optional): Include any other fees that are not liable to sales tax.
Taxable fees (optional): Include any other fees that are liable to sales tax.
Sales tax rate: The percentage rate imposed for the sales tax on your auto purchase.
Trade allowance: The sum you will get for any auto that is traded-in as part of the deal. Your state will determine whether the trade-in will also reduce the sales tax.
Amount owed on trade: Total auto loan balance that is still owed on the trade-in.
No sales tax deduction for trade-in: Check this box if your state allows no deductions for trade-ins and calculates the sales tax on your full auto purchase price.
