Using podcasts to get the best from your marketing
One new and exciting way to market your website is via the use of free podcasts. Internet users are more technically savvy these days so offering them such things as podcasts on your website or as advertisements could really give your traffic and website a much needed popularity boost.
Once you have created a number of free podcasts for your website you could start putting them onto social networking sites that allow such media to be formatted. These sites have a wealth of information and have many visitors per day. This could really up your traffic to your website, then increasing your sales and profits. You will have to make sure your content is up to date with the latest products and services and keeping in the times. People soon get bored of watching or listening to the same information time and time again.
If youre selling a product
try doing a product display that the viewer
of the free podcast can see. This is an excellent
and cost effective way of showing people exactly
what it is you are selling to them. If you
offer certain services why not try and showcase
those as well. You will have to invest in
some decent audio and recording equipment
but the likelihood is your traffic and turnover
will increase ten fold. Try to keep it as
short as you can so not to bore the viewer,
speak clearly and get your message across.
Remember the aim is to get more people to
your website so entice them with enough information
to wet the tongue but that will get them arriving
in droves to your website.
You have the options to pay someone else to do all his for you, but of course this service will not come cheaply. It does however mean you could focus your effort onto managing your business and dealing with customers, as they will deal with the maintenance of the podcasts.
If doing it yourself, you could create a series of different free podcasts that run in sequence, then if the viewer wants to see more all they have to do is follow the order of the podcasts. This does take time as you will need to plan each podcast very carefully, to ensure you do not end up repeating yourself, in which case the viewer will get bored and go to someone else’s podcast.
If you’re feeling particularly brave, why not do a live podcast. Then your potential customer can have a face to face chat with you without having to leave the house. This can be very beneficial if the customer is not yet decided on your products or services and needs a few questions answering. You could also gather feedback on your products and services from these viewers and update your site accordingly. |
